1. Introduction

SerpHive ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the SerpHive platform. By using SerpHive, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken within the platform, timestamps, and interaction logs used for improving the service and detecting abuse.

Project Data: Websites, keywords, competitors, and reports you create and manage within SerpHive. This data belongs to you.

Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, device type, operating system, and session identifiers collected for security and performance monitoring.

Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and optional analytics cookies (with your consent) to improve the platform experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the SerpHive service
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, trial reminders, password resets)
  • To monitor for abuse, fraud, and security threats
  • To improve platform features and performance
  • To communicate product updates and announcements (you may opt out)
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement role-based access controls, authentication checks, and database-level security rules to ensure users can only access their own data. We do not allow direct client-side database access without proper server-side validation.

We do not store raw payment card data. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers (Stripe for payments, email providers for transactional emails) solely to operate the platform. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements.

We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SerpHive, its users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data while your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or your account is terminated, your data is retained for up to 30 days before deletion. You may request earlier deletion by contacting support@serphive.io.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@serphive.io.

8. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication, session management, and optional analytics. You can manage your cookie preferences using the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit. Disabling cookies may affect core platform functionality.

9. Children's Privacy

SerpHive is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of SerpHive after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
